Our F4–F5 Visual Arts students recently went on an inspiring journey into Hong Kong iconic garment heritage, co-organized with the Hong Kong Cheongsam Association under the Qualifications Framework (QF) scheme.

Through this 3-part progrmme, our students got to explore local cutlure from every angle. In the first two sessions, they dived into the history, distinctive silhouettes, and precise tailoring details of the traditional cheongsam (長衫). Our students even getting the chance to try on tailored cheongsams themselves, experiencing the garment’s structure, elegance and cultural weight firsthand! To wrap up the programme in our third session, the class visited Sam Tung Uk Museum for an immersive Intangible Cultural Heritage guided tour and workshop. Stepping out of the classroom allowed them to see historical artifacts up close and appreciate the craftsmanship required to keep this living tradition alive.
